European Research & Innovation Days – don’t miss the opportunity

Happy Europe’s Day to all the nursing researchers!
COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated to all the EU citizens the added value of the nursing workforce to the European healthcare ecosystems, working at the frontline 24/7, at the bedside of the patient, and provided the evidence that nurses’ competencies are central for the healthcare systems in the EU.
On the Europe’s Day, the ENRF would like to make a special focus on the importance to invest more in nursing research for the well-functioning of the healthcare ecosystems. Nursing research has been for many years recognised as having a vital role to play in maintaining and promoting the health of European citizens while fostering the development of quality, efficient, and safe healthcare services delivery. Research capacity for nursing has to be prioritised at both European and National levels; and, the European Commission and the European Parliament need to support nursing research by developing closer partnerships with European professional nursing organisations.
The European Conference on the future of Europe highlighted some key topics: better ways of living; protecting our environment and our health; redirecting our economy and consumption; sustainable society; and caring for all, with an important theme for ENRF “Reinforce the healthcare system” in the Stream called “Caring for all“ . In a world constantly changing and growing, nursing research can really play a key role for developing a resilient healthcare ecosystem able to face health crisis and shape a better future for all. It is essential to recognise it and to support more the nursing research for the well-being of the Future of Europe.
More research to shape our future!
Happy Europe’s Day 2022!
