During this year’s edition of the European Research and Innovation Days, the European Commission announced its plans to launch a new innovation forum as part of the upcoming research programme Horizon Europe.

This new forum will be run as part of the European Innovation Council (i.e., the new EU investment agency, whose mission is to support the commercialization of high-risk, high-impact technologies in the European Union). This forum will enable open discussions between people working in different parts of the chain from research to market, on actions to stimulate innovation, ensure optimal conditions, improve regulation, make better use of existing tools and promote the interconnection of innovation clusters. The exact shape the forum will take is still being discussed. However, the idea is that it will be a place where innovators and policymakers help each other to replicate success stories.
